Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee seeks 2021/22 student reps

September 08 2021

Applications are now open for College of Fine Arts students to join the CFA’s Justice, Equity, Diversity + Inclusion (JEDI) Committee for the 2021/22 academic year.

With three spots available (two for undergraduate students and one for a graduate student), the committee is looking forward to again including student perspectives as the committee continues making progress on its two-fold charter which is:

  • To provide JEDI-related educational opportunities to members of the College of Fine Arts community
  • To host a series of dialogues around JEDI topics with the goal of illuminating and addressing our unique challenges, and dreaming and planning the solutions to them

We have an exciting year of work ahead with the continuation of our Inclusion in the CFA series, and our students’ input is invaluable.

We welcome students with educational, volunteer or professional experience in/around justice, equity, diversity and inclusion, but that is not required. What we really want are students who are passionate about making positive change, can make the commitment to engage, and who are willing to share their experience and the experiences of students in their spheres.

Might that be you? If so, apply by Friday, October 1 2021 (extended from Sept. 24).
