Cassie Taylor has enjoyed a long and loving relationship with the University of Utah College of Fine Arts. As a student in the U School of Music (BMA 2007, DMA 2013), Cassie competed and performed in many of the U’s competitions, festivals, and featured concerts. As a doctoral candidate, she restructured and expanded the University of Utah Piano Outreach Program (UPOP), created the Ladies in Red piano ensemble, served as the Program Coordinator for the Red Hots! performing group and worked as a development assistant for the U of U Piano Centennial Campaign. Following graduation, Cassie held a dual appointment at the School of Music as a development assistant and adjunct assistant professor, while also serving as Music Department Chair at the Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts. In addition to being a School of Music student, alumna and faculty member, Cassie has served on both the School of Music Advisory Board and the U of U Young Alumni Board. In recent years, Cassie has stepped away from performing and teaching, and finds great fulfillment and joy in supporting the College of Fine Arts and helping provide students with the opportunities, resources, and experiences that enrich their education and artistic growth at the University of Utah.
