It’s time to shop ‘til you drop! Annual holiday sales are back at the Department of Art & Art History (Gittins Gallery), Utah Museum of Fine Arts (UMFA), Red Butte Garden and Arboretum, and Natural History Museum of Utah (NHMU).
The U campus is truly one destination for all of your gifts. Every item you add to your basket means you’ll be contributing to good causes and supporting local artists. Plus, with so many affordable and unique pieces, you can snag some extras for festive decor and stocking stuffers.
U Dept. of Art & Art History
- December 2–4 (December 2 from 4-7pm and free parking in Lot #8 on this day only; December 3–4 from 10am–6:30pm) | The Annual Holiday Sale returns to the Gittins Gallery. Shop for handcrafted and unique art by students (and some faculty). All proceeds to benefit student clubs and organizations.
Utah Museum of Fine Arts
- December 6–7 from 9am–5pm | The Annual UMFA Holiday Market offers the ideal shopping experience. Find local and handmade creations in jewelry, textiles, candles, paintings, ceramics, prints, artisan toffee, handbound books, fiber art, soaps, and so much more. Shopping at the Holiday Market is free (with plenty of free parking). Make a day of it and enjoy live music performed by U School of Music students, get lunch or a beverage at The Museum Café, or tour the Museum’s latest exhibitions! Museum galleries will require an entrance fee.
Red Butte Garden and Arboretum
- November 30 from 9am–5pm | On Museum Store Sunday, everyone saves 10% on all Red Butte Gift Shop purchases and garden members save an additional 10%.
- December 6–7 from 9am–5pm (Orangerie opens at 10am) | At the Annual Gift Shop Holiday Sale, everyone receives free garden admission thanks to Zoo, Arts & Parks (ZAP) and garden members receive an additional 10% off gift shop purchases. Celebrate the Holiday Open House & Art Fair while you're here.
Natural History Museum of Utah
- December 1–23 from 10am–5pm (NHMU) or 9am–5pm (Red Butte) | NHMU members receive 10% off Red Butte Gift Shop purchases. Red Butte Garden members receive 10% off NHMU Store purchases. Membership cards must be presented at time of purchase.
