Two works created by graduate students were presented in META: Media Experiments in Technologyand the Arts last April. The evening was the inaugural event for the Center for Interdisciplinary Arts and Technology (CIDAT) and featured juried faculty and student works from across the College of Fine Arts. The two featured student works included original scores, original video work and live performance, all created and designed by the students, in an installation setting.
"How do the elements of light, water and flesh swallow the darkness?" was the question that drove the creation of a watery landscape work by Shannon Mockli, Corinne Cappeletti, and Emily Fifer.
Monica Campbell & Juan Carlos Claudio, created Blood Count an exploration of the human life force from inner to outer, which engaged the audience through multiple sensory perceptions.
